I had the second intralipid infusion this afternoon. It was very much like the first, check vitals, mix intralipids with saline, start IV, start drip, check vitals throughout, done. We were in and out in under two hours.
If all goes well, I’ll go back for another infusion in a few weeks.

I'm curious to know about these infusions... was it something you found on your own or were you recommended doing that? Have you had several miscarriages?
ReplyDeletei have a great vibe for your cycle my dear! I won't say anything else, but you are in my thoughts and prayers. Fran
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this protocol. What are you infusing?
ReplyDeleteJust curious.
I'm not having my second one until 28 days after the last one (and only then if my beta is positive), so it will be a few weeks. Not too bad as the massive bruise on the back of my hand is just now going away!
ReplyDeleteI've got a good feeling about this cycle for you too! Everything seems to be falling into place.
My RE recommended that I do the intralipid infusions based on my previous history and additional testing I had when I started at my current clinic. In 2008 I miscarried triplets during my first IVF cycle, and had a subsequent failed FET. I'd had some immune testing prior to the first IVF, then had more advanced testing that was sent to France and Chicago. The results of those tests showed additional auto-immune issues. All of the REs I've either worked with directly or consulted with have said that if I tried to cycle without an immune protocol, it would just result in another loss or implantation failure.
